5 New Wonderkids To Try in FIFA 23 Career Mode

Following the newest Squads Update from EA Sports, there’s a new batch of fantastic wonderkids available in FIFA 23.

These wonderkids, as they’re commonly known, are the players who are likely to dominate the game for years to come, and they’re always a major focus for Career Mode fans. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the newest and most promising young players in FIFA 23 and assess their potential to become the next big thing in soccer. Simone Pafundi

One of the most exciting talents in Italian football is finally available in FIFA 23. Simone Pafundi is a 16-year-old offensive player that can play as either CAM or RM in-game. At such a tender age, he already has three Seriea A caps for Udinese and represented Italy at senior level last year after making his debut in a friendly against Albania.

He is usually compared to former Udinese legend, Antonio Di Natale due to his height, pace, ball control, vision and finishing. In FIFA 23 he starts with a rating of 67 and the young Italian talent received an outstanding 86 potential from EA. Some of his most important in-game attributes include 79 pace, 73 dribbling. 87 agility and 95 balance, which makes him a very fun player to play with.

Warren Zaïre-Emery

Moving on to Italy’s neighbours, France, we find another potential future star in the name of Warren Zaïre-Emery. Currently playing for Ligue 1 giants PSG, the 16-year-old midfielder has already caught the attention of millions of fans thanks to his remarkable technique and defensive abilities in the midfield.

Having already played 21 games at senior level, including 3 matches in the Champions League, Zaïre-Emery is seen as the future of PSG of France. In FIFA 23 he is currently 70-rated but he compensates with the 85 potential set by EA Sports that makes him a very attractive player for FIFA managers.

PSG will face rivals Olympique Lyon next Sunday and our wonderkid is bound to make an appearance according to FIFA betting online.

Jorrel Hato

Next we have an amazing wonderkid that recently come out from one of the most famous youth academies in the world, the Ajax Youth Academy. Notoriously known for producing talents such as Marco van Basten, Wesley Sneijder, Christian Eriksen or Matthijs de Ligt, the Amsterdam based club might have another future star in their team. Jorrel Hato is a 16-year-old talented left-back that can also play as a center back, and he is certainly a one to watch.

The young Dutch defender makes his debut in FIFA 23 with a 61 overall rating but he has a potential set at 84 which makes him an insane player for future Career Mode saves. His best in-game attributes are pace, defending and strength. Moreover, valued at just €1M he is an absolute bargain for every manager in FIFA 23.

Damion Downs

If you are looking for a tall and a true #9 for your team, then Damion Downs is your guy. Measuring 192cm / 6’4″ at just 17-years old, the young striker can become a menace for defenders in the future. Currently playing for Bundesliga side 1.FC Köln, Downs is yet to make his professional debut at the senior level.

In FIFA 23 he is 62-rated but if you will train and play with him regularly, then reaching his 82 potential won’t be an issue. You can improve him even further thanks to the Dynamic Potential feature. Valued at €1.1M, he is another cheap bargain if you plan a Road To Glory save in Career Mode.

Archie Gray

The last wonderkid on our today’s list is Leeds United playmaker, Archie Gray. Just 16 years of age, the young Englishman was discovered by former Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa. That says a lot about his talent and why fans should watch him closely for years to come.

If you plan to sign him for your club in FIFA 23 Career Mode, please note that he is 58-rated and has a potential of 82. The 185cm / 6’1″ youth can either play as a classic midfielder or even in a more advanced position as a CAM. His transfer market value in-game is set at €625K which makes him the cheapest talent on our list.
