EA celebrates 14 Years of FUT with Birthday Promo

The celebrations are already underway in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team!

The FUT Birthday promo celebrates 14 years of FUT with a wide range of content including two teams of special players items, upgraded Icons, a new Swaps program and more themed Objectives and Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) than ever before.

To kick off the festivities, FUT players can find a special pack promo in the store reserved for this occasion that contains 10 Rare Gold Players, with 1 guaranteed to be 85 OVR or higher and one FUT Birthday Loan Player Pick between 3 players. The best part of it? It only cost 10 coins!

FUT Birthday Team 1

The players selected to feature in the FUT Birthday teams are fan favourites from past years with boosted ratings and 5* Skill Move or Weak Foot upgrades. Some of the players included are Marquinhos, Bernardo Silva or Chelsea’s João Félix.

Here’s how the first FUT Birthday team lines up:

• CAM: Bernardo Silva (Manchester City) – 93 OVR (5* Weak Foot)
• CB: Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain) – 91 OVR (5* Weak Foot)
• CAM: Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich) – 91 OVR (5* Skill Moves)
• CF: João Félix (Chelsea) – 89 OVR (5* Skill Moves & Weak Foot)
• GK: Alban Lafont (Nantes) – 89 OVR (5* Skill Moves & Weak Foot)
• RWB: Emerson Royal (Tottenham) – 88 OVR (5* Skill Moves)
• RM: Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal) – 87 OVR (5* Weak Foot)
• CB: Yeray (Athletic Bilbao) – 86 OVR (5* Skill Moves)
• CM: Djibril Sow (Frankfurt) – 86 OVR (5* Weak Foot)

More FUT Birthday players can be found in packs via Twin Upgrades Mini-Releases featuring two versions of the same player at the same time – one with 5* Skill Moves and one with 5* Weak Foot. The first Twin Upgrades players are Arsenal’s Zinchenko, Liverpool’s Darwin Núñez and Koke from Atletico Madrid.

FUT Birthday Icons Team 1

As mentioned at the start of this article, we will also have upgraded Icons in packs during this promo. The first team features the following 8 legendary players:

• CF: Ferenc Puskas (ICON) – 95 OVR (5* Weak Foot)
• CF: Eric Cantona (ICON) – 94 OVR (5* Skill Moves & Weak Foot)
• RW: George Best (ICON) – 94 OVR (5* Skill Moves)
• CM: Lothar Matthaus (ICON) – 94 OVR (5* Weak Foot)
• RW: Jairzinho (ICON) – 93 OVR (5* Skill Moves & Weak Foot)
• CB: Ronald Koeman (ICON) – 92 OVR (5* Weak Foot)
• ST: Ian Rush (ICON) – 92 OVR (5* Skill Moves)
• CAM: Rui Costa (ICON) – 91 OVR (5* Skill Moves)

All these player items will be available in packs until next Friday, March 31st. If you managed to save some packs from the previous promo, your odds to pack one of these new players are quite high if you play it smart like some fans do on ekbet.

FUT Birthday Swaps Program

With every big promo, there has to be a Swaps Program in FUT 23 and EA prepared the biggest one yet for FUT Birthday.

Until April 7th, fans can earn up to 30 FUT Birthday Swap Tokens that can be found in select Objectives, Moments Star Gallery and themed Squad Building Challenges. Furthermore, there will be some extra bonus tokens in the FUT store during the campaign. These tokens can then be submitted to specific SBCs that will reward high rated players and packs.

The rewards are yet to be revealed by EA Sports. Players can keep up with the release and expiration of every token by checking this online tracker.

FUT Birthday SBCs & Objectives

For those of you that enjoy challenges, you can unlock more FUT Birthday players by completing themed SBCs and Objectives. If you check the SBC section in FUT you can find:

• FUT Birthday Pedri – 91
• FUT Birthday Icon Rivaldo – 93

Also, don’t forget to complete the FUT Birthday Daily Login Upgrade SBC that will reward you with multiple prizes, including Swap Tokens and player packs.

Other FUT Birthday players can be earned by fulfilling the FUT Birthday Party Objective in FIFA 23:

• Important Venue: Score 4 finesse goals in Squad Battles on minimum Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rivals) to earn a FUT Birthday Swaps Token and FUT Birthday Gregore.
• Party in Style: Score 15 goals using FUT Birthday Gregore in Squad Battles on mini Semi-Pro Difficulty (or Rivals) to earn a Loan version of Base Icon Maldini.
• Family Ties: Play 5 matches with Base Maldini in your starting eleven in Squad Battles on minimum Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rivals) to earn Out of Positions Daniel Maldini.
• Family Celebration: Keep 3 clean sheets while having Base Maldini and OOP Maldini in your starting eleven in Squad Battles on minimum Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rivals) to earn 81+ 11 Player Pack.
• Nostalgic Vibe: Play 7 Squad Battles on minimum Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rivals) while having Gregore and OOP Maldini in your starting eleven to earn a Loan TOTW Rashford and FUT Birthday Jesse Lingard.
• Mates Reunite: Win 8 Squad Battles matches on minimum Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rivals) while having FUT Birthday Lingard and TOTW Rashford in your starting eleven to earn FUT Birthday Alessandrini.
• Friendly Teamwork: Win 10 Squad Battles Matches on minimum Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rivals) with OOP Maldini, Birthday Gregore, Lingard and Alessandrini in your starting eleven to earn Five 85+ Player Pack.
