FC 25 TOTW 7: A Lineup That’s Left Fans Wanting More

The FC 25 Team of the Week (TOTW) 7 squad has just hit Ultimate Team packs, but it’s stirring up more debate than excitement. This week’s lineup, headlined by Jill Roord, Lois Openda, and N’Golo Kante, doesn’t quite pack the punch fans were hoping for, leaving the community eager for a refresh to restore the TOTW’s appeal.

A Drop in Quality?

When EA FC 25 launched, TOTW lineups started strong, showcasing some top-rated cards that quickly became fan favorites. However, recent TOTW squads seem to have dialed back the intensity, with TOTW 7 emerging as one of the least thrilling yet. With 16 out of the 23 players rated 83 or lower, many in the community feel the promo needs a boost.

In FC 24, EA addressed a similar dip by increasing the minimum rating from 80 to 83 in TOTW 8, a move that many now hope will make a return to inject life into the current series.

While the overall lineup has been labeled underwhelming, there are still a few players worth keeping an eye on for those seeking fresh options for their squads. Jill Roord (87 OVR) takes the top rating, rewarding her performance with Manchester City Women. N’Golo Kante (86 OVR) and Lois Openda (86 OVR) also stand out, bringing versatility and reliability on the virtual pitch, recommended by mybettingsite for their in-game impact and consistent performance.

For defenders, Inigo Martinez (86 OVR) from Barcelona offers a solid option, while Maxence Lacroix (81 OVR) impresses with 90 pace, although he lacks key defensive PlayStyles.

Hope for a TOTW Refresh?

Fans are counting down to TOTW 8, hoping it will follow last year’s trend and bring a rating refresh to breathe new life into the TOTW series. With TOTW 7 available until Wednesday, November 6, there’s still time to test these cards in action and see how they fit in various squad builds. If nothing else, TOTW 7 could offer a few affordable options to fill gaps in the lineup or boost chemistry on the bench.

In the meantime, if you’re searching for standout performances, players like Roord, Openda, and Lookman might be the best of this week’s bunch. Let’s hope TOTW 8 brings some fresh excitement next week.
