Women’s Football is about to get bigger in FIFA 23.
After the introduction of women’s clubs in FIFA 23, EA Sports have recently revealed the first details of two new women’s competitions that will be added in-game as downloadable content (DLC) on March 15th.
The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) will join the Barclays Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema while the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) will bring European nights for women’s clubs in The World’s Game.
Announced last year, the UWCL will only feature the knockout stage of the competition and will include four new clubs: Real Madrid C.F, VfL Wolfsburg, Juventus and Eintracht Frankfurt. The European competition will be fully authentic in FIFA 23 with real stadium dressings, adboards, kit patches, ball, trophy and broadcast package.
This season’s UWCL final will be played on the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven, one of the newest stadiums added in FIFA 23.
All new women’s clubs and existing ones will be playable in Kick-Off, Online Seasons (Head-to-Head & Co-op), Online Friendlies and Tournament Mode.
The NWSL will be accurately represented in-game with all 12 teams featuring authentic match broadcast experience, rosters, kits, crests, competition format, trophy, celebrations and even new headscans for select players across the league.
