Who Are The Best MLS Teams in EAFC 25?

With so many playable options in EAFC 25, it can often be challenging to find a team to play with.

However, for the most part, many will stick with the higher-rated European clubs. But, there may be few more enjoyable experiences than starting a Career Mode with an MLS team, as a slightly different competition format poses more questions.

But, who are some of the best MLS teams in the title this year that could be worth playing as?

Inter Miami

There is little doubt that Inter Miami will rank among one of the most popular MLS teams to play as on EA FC 25. Led by a front two of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, players will already have two strikers with ratings in the 80s.

Younger stars on the roster also develop quickly, which is a major benefit when playing in career mode. Inter also have experienced players in the forms of Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

Despite being one of the newest franchises, Inter Miami also boasts one of the healthiest budgets for Career Mode with £20 million to spend.

Los Angeles Galaxy

The Los Angeles Galaxy have been no strangers to success in the MLS throughout their history, and they will rank as one of the most popular teams to play as in EAFC 25 after winning the most recent edition of the competition.

The team boasts steady ratings across the field, accumulating to an overall rating of 71. Their midfield is the strongest area with a 71 official rating. Players will have the option to control German star Marco Reus, who signed from Borussia Dortmund, if taking charge of the Galaxy, but managers will be tasked with retaining the MLS title.

There is also the option to improve many of the younger players within the squad, as the Galaxy have an average age within their roster of 25.54. But, immediate success is compulsory for one of the MLS’s most celebrated franchises.

FC Cincinnati

In a short time in the MLS, FC Cincinnati have quickly become a neutrals choice in the North American competition. Sport within the state is incredibly popular, and YouBet is a prominent selection for gamblers in Ohio.

The recent success of the team has seen popularity in soccer reach new heights, and this year, they are currently in the battle for a playoff spot. In EA FC 25, the team have a strong squad from top to bottom, including 76-rated striker Kevin Denkey, and other standout stars such as Evander and DeAndre Yedlin.

Their overall rating is slightly lower than many of the established MLS sides with 70, but the average age of the starting eleven is just 26, meaning that there is a lot of room for improvement in Career Mode.

LAFC

With two beautiful kits and a stacked squad of international talent, it could be hard to get away from LAFC being one of the most exciting MLS teams to play as on EAFC 25. The signing of Hugo Lloris from Tottenham last summer means that the team have a capable goalkeeper, while almost every player within the starting eleven has a rating of at least 70.

The standout outfield player comes in the form of French World Cup winner Oliver Giroud, who is rated 81. However, he is best used as a target man, as the striker has no pace to run away from opposing defenders. Fortunately, LAFC have two very quick wingers either side of the Frenchman, with Denis Bouanga being one of the more enjoyable players in the league.

Once again, the expectation will be to win the MLS, but there are many saleable assets should you want to build a squad in your own way.

D.C. United

It has been a poor period in the history of D.C. United, but they remain an interesting option when beginning a career mode in the MLS. The club have a healthy £19 million budget to start the game, which ranks among the best in the competition, making it perfect for managers to plan a rebuild.

Unlike many teams on this list, United only have an overall rating of 67, and a big rebuild is required in the middle of the park, as no player boasts a rating of 70 or higher. However, D.C. do have a proven goalscorer within their ranks, as former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke is one of the highest-rated strikers in the MLS with a 75.

But, it is worth considering that four of their top five highest-rated players are all either goalkeepers or defenders. Therefore, the squad is slightly top heavy. But, that will only enable managers to have extra time in achieving their goals, as MLS Cup glory will not be expected in your first season.
