As FC 25 moves deeper into the summer months, the focus is shifting to one of the most anticipated promos in the Ultimate Team cycle: FUTTIES.
Known for its bright pink design and endgame vibes, FUTTIES usually marks the final major celebration before the next title arrives. Based on leaks, developer behavior, and past years, this year’s edition is shaping up to bring some significant changes.
So, what can we expect from FUTTIES in FC 25? Here’s everything we know so far.
When Does FUTTIES Start in FC 25?
Multiple sources, including leakers like FUT Sheriff, have reported that FUTTIES is expected to kick off on Friday, July 11. That lines up with the current calendar, as the fourth and final Shapeshifters squad is scheduled for July 4 alongside the Women’s EURO Path to Glory Team 2. The timing fits EA’s usual pattern of giving each promo four weeks before moving on.
Looking back at FC 24 and FIFA 23, FUTTIES typically runs for about four to five weeks, often wrapping up in mid-August. During this time, players often re-engage with Ultimate Team in similar ways people revisit seasonal offers on platforms like Bankonbet casino, where timing and reward structure play a key role in user activity.
What’s Different This Year?
One of the most notable updates is how FUTTIES cards will be integrated into the game. According to data miner findings and content creator The FUT_Accountant, several new packs were recently added to the code. These include special FUTTIES packs that feature both Shapeshifters and FUTTIES cards, including 96-plus rated items.

What really stands out, though, is the expected inclusion of FUTTIES players in FC 25 Weekend League rewards. In previous years, FUTTIES cards were mostly exclusive to SBCs and objectives. Last year they were added to packs, but this year appears to be the first time they will show up in Champs and Rivals rewards.
That could make the grind feel more worthwhile for players still active in July and August. Elite FUTTIES and Ultimate FUTTIES packs are also expected to be reward options for various in-game objectives and SBCs, making it easier to chase the top-tier pink cards.
Which Players Might Be Included?
There are no confirmed names yet, but some predictions can be made based on past years and the usual endgame pool. Players likely to feature include:
- Lionel Messi
- Cristiano Ronaldo
- Kylian Mbappé
- Jude Bellingham
- Mohamed Salah
- Virgil van Dijk
- Harry Kane
- Lamine Yamal
- Caroline Graham Hansen
- Alexia Putellas
- Lucio
- David Ginola

FUTTIES often includes reruns of fan favorites, as well as boosted versions of current cards with multiple playstyle plus traits. Some of these could reach the 99 rating mark.
Fan Voting Returns
Another feature making a return is community voting. During the promo, players will be able to vote for new FUTTIES cards using in-game Player Pick SBCs.
The winner of each vote will later become available as a Squad Building Challenge, usually with boosted stats and additional traits. These cards are typically among the most overpowered of the year, at least until the next title launches.
Potential Evolutions and Additions
There is speculation that this FUTTIES campaign may introduce new Evolution mechanics, such as playstyle plus consumables or position-changing upgrades. While not officially confirmed, several pack descriptions suggest more flexibility could be added through upcoming Evo options.
If these become available, it would give players the chance to customize their favorite cards further in the final months of the game.
What About Greats of the Game?
The “Greats of the Game” promo made its debut in FC 24 with iconic endgame cards like Ronaldo and Gullit. There is no confirmation yet on whether it will return this year, but some believe it could arrive during the second half of FUTTIES. If so, we might see a mix of Icons and FUTTIES content leading up to EA SPORTS FC 26.
What This Means for the Market
Historically, FUTTIES has a major impact on the transfer market. With more high-rated cards entering packs and rewards, older promo cards tend to drop in price. That includes expensive items like Star Performers and Shapeshifters. As we get closer to July 11, players holding onto high-value cards may want to consider selling before the market takes a hit.
With the inclusion of FUTTIES in Weekend League rewards and the possibility of upgraded Evo content, this year’s edition could feel more rewarding than previous ones. And while many are already looking ahead to FC 26, FUTTIES will likely keep Ultimate Team active for a few more weeks.
