eLibertadores 2024: What To Know

EA Sports has announced the return of the eLibertadores tournament for 2024.

In its fourth iteration, the EA SPORTS FC Pro event is set to be the most impressive yet, featuring 16 participants and a prize pool exceeding $100,000 USD. The eLibertadores represents the virtual version of the renowned South American football competition. In this event, top FC pro players from the continent will vie for “la Gloria Eterna” in FC 24.

Registration eLibertadores 2024

Following the conclusion of the real-life Copa Libertadores final, where Fluminense triumphed over Boca Juniors, EA Sports has opened player registrations for the eLibertadores 2024. Registration starts today, November 7th, and will continue until December 8th on the Battlefy platform. The first phase of the competition will commence shortly after, beginning on December 9th.

Tournament Format and Prize

Participants in the eLibertadores 2024 will compete using the in-Game Ultimate Team mode. The first qualifying phase will utilize the Online Friendlies mode within Ultimate Team, while the second phase and the finals will shift to the 1v1 competitive mode.

After two rounds of qualifiers, the finalists will compete in March 2024 for a share of the $100,000 prize pool. Additionally, two players will secure spots in the inaugural EA SPORTS FC Pro World Championship, scheduled for June 2024.

The grand final will be held in person and broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube, where fans can watch their favourites battle it out on the biggest South American esports stage. This event will also offer fans the opportunity to wager on their favourite FC pro players. Platforms like siticasinononaams.com provide expert reviews for eSports betting sites, allowing fans to engage in various bets, including moneyline bets, over/under (totals) bets, props, and Parlay bets, on events that occur at all stages of the EA Sports FC 24 Pro tournament.

Brazil as the Host Country

The tournament will take place in Brazil, a nation renowned for producing the last three eLibertadores champions. The host city, yet to be determined, will likely be either Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo.

Brazil’s Dominance in Past Tournaments

Brazilian players have been notably successful in past eLibertadores tournaments, with Pedro Resende winning in 2021, Paulo Henrique “PHzin” in 2022, and Gabriel “Baxada” most recently.

EA Sports, having parted ways with the FIFA brand, continues the legacy with EA Sports FC. Despite renewed licensing rights for club crests, kits, and CONMEBOL clubs in June, Brazilian clubs in the game will still have generic rosters due to licensing complications with the Brazilian Football Confederation.

Further updates regarding the final host city for this exciting showcase of South American virtual football talent will be forthcoming.
