Another exciting eSports tournament came to its conclusion this week as eSerie A TIM crowns Dani “Danipitbull” Pinto as its 2023 champion.
The 2023 edition certified not only the historic victory of Juventus’ pro player, but also the great technical prowess of a top-level eSports competition. The official eSports competition of Lega Serie A in collaboration with EA Sports showcased the best FIFA 23 players in Italy and it delivered a splendid show of talent, skill and drama.
The Grand Final took place at the Apollo Theater in Lecce that ended with the triumph of Juventus Dsyre team member, Danipitbull.

eSerie A TIM 2023 Season
The competition started in November with the Online Qualifiers during which all registered players battled to win a place at the January Draft where the participating Serie A clubs chose the players to represent them in the Regular Season.
After the Draft selection concluded, the 14 participating clubs in eSerie A TIM 2023 kicked off the Regular Season on January 31st, played exclusively on PlayStation 5. The division was separated into two group stages of seven teams each that saw them compete in a double round-robin format. With the conclusion of the Regular Season, the top four teams of each group advanced to the Playoffs Winner’s Bracket. Teams that finished 5th to 7th in the overall standing dropped to Playoffs Loser’s Bracket.
The Playoffs were played last month, which resulted in the Final Eight teams to compete at the prestigious Apollo Theater in Lecce this week.

eSerie A TIM 2023 Final Eight
What triumphed in the Final Eight, was the experience and fierceness of Danipitbull who in the very final managed to take revenge for the defeat suffered a few minutes earlier at the hands of HV_Karimisbak. In fact, the two also faced each other in the final of the Winner Bracket, but the first act was won by Hellas Verona FC eSports by 2 to 1.
Juventus Dsyre therefore had to win the final of the Loser Bracket, as it was the last opportunity to reach the Grand Final. Danipitbull faced the strong AC Monza Team eSports of Raffaele “ Er_Caccia98 ” Cacciapuoti. The rivalry between the two teams was one of the best this season as Er_Caccia98 and Lucio “HHezerS” Vecchione, had beaten Danipitbull and Fabio “Denuzzo” Denuzzo in the final of the EA SPORTS eSupercup. In the semifinal of the Winner Bracket however, the Bianconeri got their revenge by winning on penalties against the Monza based team.
But that’s not all, Danipitbull managed to defeat his rival once again in the Loser Bracket after a clear 5-1 win and reserving his ticket to the Grand Final against Hellas Verona FC eSports.
Hellas Verona FC eSports, on the other hand, had clearly prevailed 5-2 against the hosts US Lecce eSports of Francesco “Obrun2022” Tagliafierro, the reigning eSerie A TIM champion followed by a 2-1 victory against Juventus Dsyre in the Winner Bracket final which granted him access to the Grand Final.

The US Lecce eSports defending champion player was eliminated almost immediately from the competition after losing against Hellas Verona FC eSports in the first day of the tournament and soon after losing against his eNazionale team-mate Andrea “Montaxer” Montanini with a clear 4-0. US Salernitana 1919 eSports qualified to the Final Eight from the Playoffs Loser Bracket and went on to beat Sampdoria eSports’ Richard “RRich19” Romeo 3-1, only to later lose against Er_Caccia98’s AC Monza Team eSports.
Er_Caccia98 had to bow down only in front of the future Italian Champion, after beating the Bologna Fc 1909 eSports of the veteran Mattia “Lonewolf92” Guarracino (who in turn had eliminated Spezia Esports ‘s Simone “GL17CH_CARMELO” Maiolino) and eNazionale’s teammate Montaxer.
In the Grand Final, the details made the difference – the sensational missed goal at the end of the first half of the second leg would have rewritten the history of the competition. For HV_Karimisbak this is the second consecutive defeat in a eSerie A TIM final, a result that certainly hurts, but which certifies the strength and consistency of the champion from Verona.
eSerie A TIM 2023 Champion
For Danipitbull this is the second triumph in the competition after the victory in the 2020/2021 edition with the Benevento eSports shirt. The Juventus Dsyre player went home with a shiny trophy and a big chunk of the €50.000 prize pool.

Furthermore, the two finalists also reserved their spots at the FIFA 23 Global Series Playoffs while the 3rd and 4th place players will compete in the FGS 23 Europe Play-Ins.
