The official release date for EA FC 25 hasn’t been confirmed yet, but that hasn’t stopped fans from salivating about the next edition of the storied franchise. One update that always intrigues gamers is the revised ratings of the players featured.
Of course, it’s even more intriguing when it’s a new player altogether, such as in the case of Lamine Yamal. The Barcelona teenager is among the contenders for UK bookies when it comes to the Player of the Tournament award at Euro 2024. However, when the tournament began, he was still only 16 years old. His age was the main reason why he wasn’t included from the off in EA FC 24.
Of course, the popularity and prominence of Yamal meant that EA eventually wavered and decided to finally include him at a time that coincided with the start of the Euros, where the youngster is representing Spain. As per usual, La Roja are among the favourites to win the entire competition, as they did in 2012.
However, they face stiff competition from a group of heavyweight European sides, including hosts Germany, holders Italy, and a French side that reached the last two World Cup finals, winning in 2018. That’s without mentioning an England side featuring Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden. Choosing which side to back will be tricky.
But back to Yamal and the ratings for EA FC 25. Let’s begin our predictions with the pacey winger.
Lamine Yamal
Yamal made it to the last game eventually, but we imagine that the next edition will celebrate his rise in a louder way. EA FC 24 didn’t include a picture of Yamal in his player card, probably because of his age, but did give him a very impressive starting rating of 76. We see that increasing substantially to reflect his prominence at both club and international level.

At the time of writing, Spain have made it to the knockout stages of the Euros. If they get much further, Yamal is bound to play a part. The teenager will be 17 by the time of the next game’s release and we expect him to have a rating of at least 80.
Endrick
Barcelona’s bitter rivals Real Madrid also have a prodigy in their ranks. Or rather, he will join their ranks this summer. Brazilian forward Endrick turns 18 over the summer and is set to make his first game appearance in EA FC 25.

The reason he wasn’t included in the prior edition is that the Brazilian top flight, where he has been playing for Palmeiras, was not included in EA FC 24. Furthermore, the Brazil national football team, where Endrick has showcased his tremendous ability, is also absent from the last edition of the series.
Given that he’s yet to play in Europe and he’ll have to prove himself at Madrid, expect Endrick to start a little below 80. We don’t imagine he’ll stay under that mark for long, though.
Arda Guler
Let’s stick with Madrid for a few minutes. After all, they had a ludicrously successful season, so it’s anticipated that they’ll be the strongest team at club level in the next game. Arda Guler showed flashes of his potential towards the end of the season after his injury problems cleared.
The 19-year-old didn’t actually make his Madrid debut until the second half of the season, and he quickly showed his worth. The six La Liga goals he scored at the end of the season came on average once every 63 minutes.
Guler then impressed for Turkey at the Euros, which suggests he’s due a minor increase from 77 to 79 or 80.
Jude Bellingham
Okay, okay, let’s clear one thing up. This article is about the biggest increases, and we just included a player who we expect to go up by two points overall – what’s up with that? Well, these anticipated increases are relative. There are more than 17,000 players included in EA FC 24, so going up two points that high up the rankings can potentially take a player from very good to elite.
Take Jude Bellingham, for example. Everyone knew he was very good before the last season, and then he was voted La Liga Player of the Season, and now everyone thinks he’s elite. Simple to grasp, right?
Bellingham started EA FC 24 at 86, which put him outside the top 60 in the game. We expect him to be rated at least 88, potentially 89 or 90 in the next edition, which would take the midfielder up at least 30 places and possibly as high as the top five.
Kobbie Mainoo
If you’re thirsting for a huge increase in terms of sheer numbers alone, this might be the entry for you. Kobbie Mainoo started EA FC 24 with an overall rating of 62. At that stage, he was a Manchester United youngster on the fringes of the first team.

Everyone knew he had the potential to be a first-team player, but nobody could have guessed how immediate his impact would be. Before long, he was a key player in the starting XI, scoring the winning goal in an FA Cup final victory over Manchester City. Roy of the Rovers stuff.
Mainoo is due a big increase. Expect him to get a rating of at least 76, but likely much higher.
