To celebrate the Chinese New Year, EA Sports are holding a special event in FUT 16 called Lunar New Year where every 8 hours there will be something new released like special pack promos or tournaments. FIFA Mobile users will even get a free gold red pack upon logging to their accounts!
The event will end tomorrow, February 8th.
With the current pack promos from the Lunar New Year event, you may have the chance to pack one of the following TOTW 21 IN-Forms released this week:

The Winter Upgrades have finally arrived in FIFA 16 Ultimate Team this week with the first batch of upgrades being released this Friday. There will be three more batches that will be released every Friday until the end of the month. To view the first upgrades list please click here or you can download the excel file right here.
For those who don’t know how these Winter Upgrades work please read the following FAQ:
- Upgrades apply to new non-inform players found in packs. Non-IF players in your Club will not receive an upgrade.
- If an upgraded player’s new OVR rating equals or surpasses his existing first in-form’s rating, his IFs will get an upgrade.
- If an upgraded player’s new OVR rating does not equal or surpass his existing in-form’s rating, his IFs will not get an upgrade. (Ex: Jamie Vardy went from 71 to 75 OVR, his 82 Record Breaker will not receive an upgrade)
- However, if an upgraded player with an existing IF gets upgraded across Quality tiers (eg. Silver to Gold), his lower-quality IF will not get an upgrade. This preserves the in-form’s high value. (Ex: Jack Butland’s item is now Gold, but his Silver In-Form will not receive an upgrade and stays Silver.)
- If you already own the in-form version of an upgraded player in your Club, your IF will get an upgrade.
Just one batch of winter transfers was released this week in FUT 16 featuring players like Quagliarella, Doumbia and Kokorin joining their new clubs. The full transfer lists can be found here.
